Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, was disappointed to see that the first annual Budget from the now Labour-run Westminster City Council included a 45% pay increase for Cabinet Members; 7% rise in social housing rents; a 2% rise in council tax and the reduction in the key worker housing plan that Nickie started when she was Leader of Westminster City Council.
Nickie has written to the new Council Leader, Adam Hug, to express her concerns that his policies are deeply damaging to the most disadvantaged, particularly in a cost of living crisis. Read Nickie's letter here.
