Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, and Greg Hands, MP for Fulham and Chelsea, have joined forces to stop the Mayor of London's bus cuts.
Campaigning together, Greg Hands MP said,
"Well, we're here right on the border between my constituency and Nickie Aiken's. Chelsea and Fulham and Westminster. And this is all about saving the 211 bus route, which is, again, a really important bus route for my constituency. Goes right through North Fulham, Fulham Broadway, Chelsea Football Club to King's Road to Sloane Square and on into Westminster. Really, really important route for my constituents to bring them into central London. Sadiq Khan is proposing it no longer goes to Westminster, instead gets diverted to Battersea and will never reach Victoria or Westminster. So I'm fighting this. Make sure you sign up to our campaign."
Nickie shared,
"This has got nothing to do with Government cuts, whatever the Mayor says. He has had already £5 billion of bailout from the Government and is still asking for more. What we want Khan to do is to get a grip of TfL's finances so that he is not asking taxpayers to continue to bail him out."
Greg Hands MP added,
"So please do sign our petitions, do take part in the consultation that the Mayor has on bus routes and please Save Our Buses."
