Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, had an excellent visit to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.
The Museum is delighted that have again been successful in receiving funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's Cultural Investment Fund, with the Arts Council of England.
On the visit, Nickie met with Sam Mullins OBE, Museum Director, to hear how they will use the funding allocation which has been vital to keep the museum during the pandemic.
Nickie commented,
"I've been to visit the London Transport Museum this morning to see the brilliant work that they continue to do. Seeing buses, tubes, taxis, you name it, it's there. And some really, really interesting galleries and exhibitions.
"They are delighted that they've been successful again, with another tranche of the Government's Cultural Investment Fund. And that means that its taken them up now to several million. Vital money to keep them going through the pandemic and now rebuilding now that we've come through it.
"So please do, if you're in Covent Garden, and it's a beautiful day in Covent Garden, do think about coming and bringing your children or yourselves to the London Transport Museum."
