Your Warwick Ward councillors continue to work with Westminster City Council's licensing and noise teams to ensure local residents receive the best possible service. The vast majority of licensed premises are law abiding and work hard to live alongside their neighbours, however sometimes an issue can arise, for example from noise from people drinking outside late.
Local Warwick Ward Councillor and Cabinet Member for Community Protection Nickie Aiken said: “As local residents we all know how important it is in our closely packed neighbourhood that residents and businesses work hard to get along with each other. The vast majority of the time most of us do just that but when a problem occurs, for example when there is unreasonable noise, the council is there to help.”
If you do have an issue with licensed premises which are contravening their licensing conditions then you have the right to hold them to account and can ask for a review of the premises’ licence. You can do this by contacting one of your Warwick councillors or going to the city council direct. If you have a problem with noisy neighbours – residents or businesses- you can call Westminster City Council's Noise Team on 020 7641 2000, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they will help solve the problem.
