Strolling through Pimlico this evening, Prospective MP Tim Barnes shares episode three of Diary of a Candidate. Tim explains
"So, welcome to week three of the Diary of a Candidate. This week, I'm in Pimlico, in the south end of the constituency. For many professional politicians, and certainly all the full-time MPs, being a candidate is a regular part of their activities. But for candidates like me, who also have a full-time job, it's something you have to fit around all of the other commitments in life, so it can be particularly busy.
"This week, we've had a visit from the Prime Minister. Rishi was just down here in Pimlico last Friday, helping us with our campaigning.
"I’ve been out every night this week with meetings, planning, knocking on doors, and talking with residents. And this evening, I'm off to see a group of our own members to find out what they're thinking and hopefully have a little bit of fun as well.
"But it's all build-up to Thursday 2 May. That's just three weeks away today from the elections to find a new Mayor, hopefully, for London, and a chance to kick out Sadiq Khan and support our local GLA candidate, Tony Devenish, as well. So, if you do have any time, and you can help us get that vote out, we’d really appreciate it.
"I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail."
