Only been a few days since I was selected as the Conservative Candidate for the Cities of London and Westminster, but a lot has happened already! This is my CandidateDiary video and I will post regulartly to keep you up to date as we go.
You can watch TimTalks here or read Tim's update below.
"It's Thursday. It's slightly damp and cold, and I'm just working from home today in Soho, and I'm on my way to Berwick Street market to pick up some milk to get me through the weekend. The sort of thing I’m sure many people are doing.
"It's been an incredibly busy couple of days since I was selected as the candidate for Two Cities on Sunday evening.
"I've had over 200 messages of, well, lots of well-wishers and people saying congratulations. Ranging from former students of mine right the way through to MPs and former cabinet members. It's been really surprising, if I'm honest, just to see the level of support. And I'm really thankful for it.
"We've launched a new website and a new Twitter handle, all under VoteTimBarnes. So VoteTimBarnes.org if you're looking for the website or VoteTimBarnes for Twitter, Instagram and other social media handles.
"It's just been a flurry of interviews for Westminster Extra and a whole load of media titles that wanted to know a little bit more about what's happening locally and what my plans are. And some of those will be coming out in the next few days.
"I even had a quote in the Daily Telegraph this morning, which is pretty good going, I think, for somebody who's only been doing this for four days!
"On Saturday morning, we will have the kickoff for campaigning from 90 Ebury Street SW1W 9QD at 11 am. I hope that some of you be able to join us even though it's the Easter weekend. Be great to see some friendly faces out there and get an army of people together for our first new campaigning session. "Hope to see you then. If not, have a great Easter weekend and catch up with you soon."
