Transport for London: Protecting TfL Workers during the pandemic

Today GLA Conservatives successfully achieved a Mayoral U-turn. They had repeatedly called for TfL workers to be provided with protective facemasks. Their consistent campaigning resulted in the Mayor making a U-turn and providing facemasks for TfL staff from Monday 11 May. 

Commenting on the U-turn Tony Devenish, Assembly Member for West Central, said “Protecting our key public workers is essential. That’s why my Conservative Assembly colleagues and I have campaigned tirelessly for our Transport for London (TfL) workers to be provided with facemasks, so that they can remain safe at work.”
