Two Cities MP enjoys the Aldgate in Winter Festival

Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, joined Zoe Barwick, Aldgate Business Improvement District (BID) Manager, on the day of the Aldgate in Winter Festival. This spectacular community festival has been running for six years and brings people from across the City together through an array of activities open to everyone.

This year, with its focus on building ties between businesses and the community, the festival lit up the City with a lantern parade, live events, creative workshops and market stalls. During the festival, Nickie got to meet some of the students at The Aldgate School who designed the lanterns and heard from market stall owners about the challenges facing small businesses this winter.

In looking forward to the new year, Nickie is eager to promote the work of the BID in continuing its mission to support businesses and the community. Their Public Realm Vision & Strategy document can be found here.
