Chiltern Railways Action Day
Chiltern Railways are planning an Air Quality Action Day on 2nd March at Marylebone Station. They plan to engage with taxi-drivers and other users of the Marylebone Station forecourt and feeder-ranks, on the subject of idling and air-quality.
We’re delighted that a number of Chiltern Railways’ staff want to join our campaign. They breathe here too!
Chiltern Railways has a significant social-media reach, so we hope this event will bring greater public attention to our air-quality campaign.
Removal of coach parking bays
The Council is removing three coach-parking bays in a neighbouring ward, after the persistent refusal of parked coach-drivers to switch off their engines. These bays will be replaced by Electric-Vehicle charging-points, cycle-hangars, and Residents’ Parking bays, in a scheme to reduce unnecessary emissions and noise-pollution. Your local Councillors will be considering whether to adopt similar measures in our part of Westminster.
