The Mayor had slashed Tube services. This has caused immense to disruption to many of us. As a result of the drastically reduced service, overcrowding on existing Tube services has become commonplace. We have to combat overcrowding and help keep NHS workers and others safe on their daily commute. The constant pressure from Tony Devenish and his GLA Conservative colleagues eventually led to the Mayor reversing his decision and boosting the Tube service.
Commenting on the reduced service West Central Assembly Member Tony Devenish said, “I’ve been calling on the Mayor to reverse his decision to decrease the Tube service. I’m pleased that this eventually led, last Friday 15 May, to the Mayor increasing Tube services.”
