Mayor Admits Responsibility for Congestion Charge Increase

Tony Devenish Assembly Member for West Central held the Mayor to account on his responsibility for the Congestion Charge increase. The Mayor had previously stated that the government was responsible for the congestion charge expansion. However, subsequently on Good Morning Britain he admitted that it was his decision to increase Congestion Charge.

At last week’s Mayor Question Time, Tony pointed out the inconsistency of the Mayor two different answers. Tony urged him to refrain from lying about who was responsible for the Congestion Charge changes and tell the public the truth: that he decided to increase and expanded Congestion Charge.
