Member of Parliament for the Cities of London and Westminster, Nickie Aiken, reflected on another extraordinary summer ahead of Parliament's return on Monday, 5 September 2022.
Nickie reflected,
"Well, the Parliamentary summer recess is coming to an end and I will be back in Parliament next week. I've been in the City today and I've been in the Two Cities throughout the summer visiting amazing organisations, companies and local people. I've worked with local councillors, including Barbara and Karen up in Marylebone and also Jim, Ed and Jacqui in Pimlico on a range of issues.
"And I want to thank you all for supporting my recent campaign to Save Our Buses. And looking forward now, I will go back to Parliament, I will be ensuring that our pedicabs campaign is in the Transport Bill as promised, under the new Prime Minister and my IVF campaign to secure employment rights for people undergoing fertility treatment. So thanks again for all your support.
"Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help and I look forward to working with you in the autumn."
