Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, was delighted to visit Father Simon Buckley at St Anne's Church for an update on the church’s plans to secure disability access for their gardens in Wardour Street.
The church hopes to persuade Westminster City Council to support its Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) application to help fund the project.
Nickie sincerely hopes the Council approves this application.
It’s so important that anyone with a disability or mobility issues can access the gardens, which host many community events, including the brilliant Soho Village Fete, organised by The Soho Society.
Fr Simon also showed Nickie a new community area he hopes to put to good use now that Centrepoint, who were based there for over 50 years, has moved out - lots to look forward to!
