It’s so important our neighbourhoods remain safe places to live, work and visit.
The police do vital work day in, day out and Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, has been continuing her patrols with the police. Nickie invited Superintendent Beth Pirie, who leads Westminster's neighbourhood policing team, to join a patrol of Pimlico to show her some of the hotspot areas local people have told Nickie about.
They were also joined by the Pimlico North Safer Neighbourhood Team, Police Constables Luke and Sophie, who Nickie knows work tirelessly to keep our streets safe.
Covering phone boxes, anti-social behaviour, police visibility, and drug taking, to name but a few issues, it was a vital patrol and Nickie will continue to work with our policing teams to ensure our concerns are listened to.
Nickie is working with the police and our local authorities to ensure our neighbourhoods remain safe places to live, work, and visit. Read Nickie's Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Plan for Westminster here. She will soon be launching her Plan for a Safer City of London.
