St James’s local councillors and Nickie Aiken MP are receiving increased numbers of complaints regarding anti-social behaviour in and around Great Peter Street - drug dealing and taking, drinking, threatening behaviour day and night.
Problems have become so acute that children at St Matthew’s Primary School are scared to walk to school. Sadly, this is not unique to this part of the Two Cities. And it’s why Nickie has put increasing police presence on our streets as her top priority in her recent Crime Plan.
Nickie is supporting the local councillors to encourage local people to report incidents of anti-social behaviour and crimes and to sign the petition to secure more police on our streets.
