Cities of London & Westminster MP, Nickie Aiken, was back at No 10 to discuss the issues that matter to local people.

At Downing Street, Nickie discussed with the Minister for Crime and Policing Chris Philp MP, colleagues and officials how we tackle shoplifting and repeat offending.

One of Nickie's main priorities is to ensure the Two Cities remains a safe place to live, work, and visit. Yet when she speaks to business owners and retail workers, they report an increase in theft from their stores.

Our neighbourhoods remain great places to do business, but the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, who leads policing in the capital, urgently needs to get on top of shoplifting across London. This Conservative Government has launched its Retail Crime Action Plan, but the Mayor really needs to use his powers and do more.
