Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, held her third roundtable of housing associations from across the Two Cities to discuss the housing issues that matter most to local people.
It was a widely attended roundtable, with representatives from A2 Dominion, City of London Corporation, Dolphin Living, L&Q, Octavia, Peabody, Sovereign, and Westminster City Council.
Nickie has found the previous roundtables incredibly useful where they have discussed damp and mould, fire safety and repairs services.
This time they concentrated on housing lists and housing allocations. It was accepted by all that the current system is broken and requires a rethink.
Nickie is delighted that the local authorities present and housing providers agreed to look at how they can work together to overhaul home allocations.
