As he prepared for the first Hustings of the General Election campaign, Prospective MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, Tim Barnes, shared Episode 11 of a 'Diary of a Candidate". Tim explains
"Evening and welcome to this week's episode of ‘Diary of a Candidate’.
"I'm here on the Golden Lane estate in the middle of the City of London, where we've got a hustings, the first hustings of this campaign, that's going to be taking place in a few minutes time. There's been another busy week, all busy weeks at the moment!"James Cleverly, the Home Secretary, coming on Friday last week. So we had a chance to talk about crime, particularly some of the issues around Tachbrook, in the in the south of the constituency.
"And we held a big campaigning day on Saturday. Sunday, we had a couple of early morning calls with several local residents, including one Rishi Sunak, which is really appreciated."We've been out right the way through the week talking about key issues with the local residents and right up to today's hustings.
"We've been doing nothing but talking to people and knocking on doors and overall just trying to find out what's top of people's minds and what they want to know about."There is no end of video that we've been shooting, not including this you’re seeing! So you're going to see lots of things like that over the next few days, where we have a chance to explain more about who I am and the programme.
"So all in all, another busy week, but it rolls on. Thanks."
